DANB GC Review Part II
Course Overview
Part II of the DANB GC Review begins with an overview of the concepts covered in part I, but then continues with the specific principles and techniques associated with specialty procedures, such as prosthodontics, and oral surgery. The course includes virtual patient scenarios to help you visualize the situation and your role and responsibilities as a dental assistant in these patient cases. You’ll also explore strategies behind selecting and manipulating lab materials.
This course covers how to prepare for and assist with fixed and removable prosthodontic procedures. You’ll also learn the steps involved with oral surgery procedures, including preparing instruments and materials, as well as delivering pre-and post-treatment patient instructions. Understanding these topics is an important foundation for performing a variety of dental procedures and will help you prepare for the DANB General Chairside Assisting (GC) exam.
Questions in the review course are not from actual DANB exams, and completing the review course does not guarantee you will pass the DANB GC exam.
