Dental Assistant employed to assist in radiographic procedures

A dental assistant who is employed by a licensed dentist to assist in radiographic procedures must receive:

• Training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation at least every 2 years while so employed
  
• A minimum of 4 hours of continuing education in infection control every 2 years while so employed

The dentist employer must attest on his or her license renewal application that each assistant performing radiography procedures has received such training and continuing education.
