Dental Assistant (with Expanded Functions Permit)

Dental assistants with an expanded functions permit must maintain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Renewal Period: 2 years

Required Topics: Infection control (2 hours)

Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant

# CE Required: 8 hours

Renewal Period: 2 years

Required Topics: At least 1 hour of infection control

Note: Dental Assistants involved in sedation must maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers.
