Registered Dental Assistant
# CE Required: 24 hours
Required Topics: CE hours must include chemical dependency education (minimum 2 hours CE)
RDAs are required to keep a current CPR card at all times. CPR hours may be counted as CE hours.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is defined as successful completion of a BLS for Healthcare Providers course, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers, or an equivalent course, which provides training for healthcare professionals in CPR and the use of an AED by a Tennessee Board-approved training organization. The course must be conducted in person and include a skills examination on a manikin with a certified instructor.
Renewal Period: Every 2 years. (Renewal cycle is January 1 of an odd year to December 31 of an even year.)
